Warning - therapist joke! "Shoulding" on yourself is when you place an arbitrary, unfair expectation on yourself and feel guilty or mad at yourself when you don't meet it. Things like:
"I should never be late"
"I should never make a mistake"
"I should never lose my temper"
"I should never eat chocolate" (ha ha)
These "should" rules are silly and unrealistic. We'd never apply those rules to anyone else, so why do we put them on ourselves? Grab a sticker so you can remind yourself to let go of unfair expectations you put on yourself. You were never meant to be perfect, and that's okay!
